Yes, though it was back in the day when I was a wee lass. At the age of two, my kleptomania had already started, lol. My parents were visiting a perfume shop that belonged to a close friend of their's. I was sitting in my stroller and my parents had parked me near the shelves while they went to go have a chat with their friend. I started grabbing tons of perfumes from the shelves and sticking them in my seat. I hid them by sitting on them, but eventually my parents noticed that I was fidgeting uncomfortably like crazy, they checked under my seat and found loads of perfumes. Oh, fun times.
It didn't stop then! One day while my mom was shopping in KMart, I ran off to the children's books section and grabbed a Pokemon book so I could read it while I was sitting in the shopping cart. My mom assumed that I was just going to read it and put it back, but I read it the ENTIRE trip, from when she paid till we left to go to the supermarket. She didn't say a thing until the next day. While I was getting ready for school, she had the book in her hand and asked me where I had gotten it from. I told her that it was from the store but we hadn't paid for it...so yeah, it was stolen(I didn't ask her to buy it for me because I knew she would say no). She just explained to me that there were lots of things she wanted but couldn't buy and that it didn't give me a right to steal(oh you know, moral lesson-type things) and finished it off with a,"don't let it happen again." I felt a bit guilty afterwards, but hey, I was a 7-year-old at the time and you forget about these things pretty quickly when you have a tiny attention span. After that, I would occasionally make off with the Disney Adventures magazines in the supermarket, but my brother eventually started tattling on me and it stopped. Haven't stolen since then.
